Jump Start Your Lawn

Precision Mowing

Dethatching

Give your lawn some room to breathe. We remove the thick layer of dead grass and organic debris that chokes out new growth, allowing water, air, and nutrients to finally reach the soil and fuel a thicker, healthier turf. Bonus: get rid of snow mold and vole runs to allow room for new grass to grow in their place!

Perfectly trimmed bushes

Bush and Shrub Trimming

Clean lines start with your landscape. We prune away winter damage and overgrowth to restore the shape of your bushes, promoting healthy foliage and giving your property a sharp, well-maintained silhouette from day one. Plus, the best time to trim bushes is late winter / early spring when they're still dormant!

Crisp Edging

Flower Bed Clean-Out

Clear away the winter clutter. We meticulously remove leaves, sticks, and early-season weeds from your mulch and rock beds, creating a spotless canvas for your perennials to emerge and your landscape to shine.

Final Blow-off

Spring Green-Up Fertilizer

The ultimate wake-up call for your grass. Our high-nitrogen "Jump Start" formula provides the immediate energy boost your lawn needs to shake off winter dormancy and achieve that deep, vibrant green weeks ahead of the rest.

Common Questions

We dethatch by hooking a dethatcher attachment to the front of our Walker Mower. It has spring loaded tines which work to dig into the lawn and flick up any dead thatch or vole runs. The mower follows behind to get that all picked up so we can haul it away.

We run over the lawn in two different directions, picking up grass each time, to ensure we're getting as much thatch as possible (and pick up those pesky vole runs!) so your lawn is ready to accept vital water and nutrients.

(PS. Getting rid of all that dead, yellow grass helps the green of the new growth show faster and more vibrantly.)

Bushes can technically be trimmed all the way through mid-summer. Let it wait any longer, however, and you run into an increased risk of frost damage or disease getting in those stressed ends of your bush.

The absolute best time to trim your bushes is when they're completely dormant. They'll heal when they come back in the sprin, just as well off, except now perfectly manicured!

That's entirely up to you! Some do it right after it stops freezing, others wait until the spring rains are done. Both work!

One word of caution, wait until after you dethatch to turn them on. The drier the lawn, the more thatch we can pull from it!

No worries! We get it. We're here to make it so you don't have to worry about this kind of stuff. Just fill out the estimate request form, tell us what we can help with (or just that you need help) and we'll take care of the rest!
